Please help me find a subtle perfume

I haven't worn perfume in over 2 years and I really miss it. The problem is that I find most really overwhelmingly strong and I'm also going to be breastfeeding for a significant amount of time when DC arrives and I don't like the idea of them having a REALLY strong scent in their face.

I did tend to stick to an eau de toiIette, but Im even starting to find them quite strong. I've been reading about essential oil based perfumes and though maybe a roll on would help me to concentrate application spots and stop overwhelming myself and potentially baby with too much scent.

Previous perfumes I've worn have been quite musky, not your traditional florals, I also like green/citrus scents:

  • Stella McCartney EAU de parfum
  • Dolce & Gabbana L'Imperatrice
  • Diptyque Philosykos Eau de Parfum

They're all quite strong to me now, and I find powdery VERY floral ones set me off sneezing. But I really miss wearing something. I just don't know where to start, and they're so pricey now if hate to waste a bottle I didn't get on with.

Narciso Pure Musk
You Glossier is what all the young ones who find perfumes overpowering are wearing.

Jo Malone esp English Pear & Sweet Pea or wood sage and sea salt

I like a BIG perfume, but I also love Glossier You - I’m on my second bottle and have asked for the body cream for Christmas. The new Merit perfume sounds in a similar wheelhouse and is also on my Christmas list.

Chanel no5 L'eau
So much nicer than chanel no5 original

I'm really enjoying Mon Guerlain by Guerlain at the moment, having previously loved Glossier's You but wanting something a bit different. MG actually has way less staying power on me than the Glossier, and I have to reapply a few times a day. It rapidly fades to a soft feminine vanilla with hints of lavender - creamy and sweet but really beautiful. I love it so much. And I am very sensitive to most scents and find almost all perfumes deeply overpowering.

I’ve got an unfortunately good sense of smell and really can’t tolerate strong fragrances. Colognes work best for me now, something green and crisp like Hesperides by Fresh or 003 by Bon Parfumeur (I also want 104 but can’t afford it).

I know the reviews claim these fragrances don’t last but I think those lucky people don’t have my nose.

I love Not a Perfume.

Which bottle should I be looking at for this please? The parfum? I'm getting confused by superdoses, EDPs and the various colour bottles

Oh gosh. I’m not sure. If you can get somewhere like Selfridges to ask, you’re looking for just the base perfume. I believe it can then be layered with others if you want. They do a nice samples box.
