Investment winter boots

I love shoes and am thinking it would be nice to get a decent pair of boots that I'll wear for many winters to come.
I've narrowed it down to 3 types but they're all quite different :
Doc marten chelsea boots, ankle boots with low heel that could be casual but smart or flat knee highs.
I just can't decide between them all.
For those who've bought really nice boots, what did get and what style of boot is best for winter?

If I could still afford them I'd go for Celtic. The best (imo) are the soft and furry tall knee-high boots, but they aren't really smart. They do smarter boots, though! Never had a pair I didn't wear frequently; all lasted more than 10 years,.

The boots from these brands are beautiful, I think I now have even more on my wish list 😂

I have the DM Leonore chelsea boots and they're very versatile and comfortable. I bought a pair about 4 years ago and have just got rid and replaced with a new pair as they were a bit done. I've got black with black fur, and they work with jeans or dresses.

If you love shoes though, I really think you need multiple pairs of boots. If you already have a few pairs maybe look and see where the gap is in your wardrobe, as if you already have chelsea boots perhaps knee boots would make more sense.
