Style Advice Lost myself in Mumhood

I could really do with some advice on how to easily pull nice outfits together. I am never someone who has found this easy but I used to put a lot more time into giving it a go than I do now. But since becoming a mum I have a lot less time, my figure has changed and I am at home a lot more. For all of these reasons I think without realising it I've slowly stopped taking pride in my appearance. I wear and wash the same casual clothes over and over again and I feel in honesty a bit lost.

Are there any tips for how I can look more pulled together? Or how I might be able to create a capsule wardrobe of smart casual clothes. I'm really bad at coming up with ideas but I like clean classic looks on other people, and I'm usually a size 10.

I'd concentrate on what works for your lifestyle now. If you are at home with a baby or toddler, smart clean classics are probably not practical.
Have some clean classic looks for when you want to look smart.

It might be worth trying the JL personal shopper/stylist as it is free and the people I know who have used it look just right.

Look on YouTube for fashion videos? Eg search Capsule Wardrobe and see what comes up. Defo consider speaking to a personal shopper, eg at John Lewis. Have you had your colours done? That’s good fun and gives you ideas about what suits you - I went to House of Colour as a friend is a consultant with them, i think they do style stuff as well as colours.

This time of year, just get a nice overcoat in a colour you like (black, navy, grey, oatmeal etc.) It smartens up jeans and a jumper, or leggings and a hoody, or track pants and trainers …

I would reccomend having a session with an image consultant and have your colours sorted and style of clothes dealt with.

I google some fashion people on Instagram whose style I like for ideas. But 4/5 days of the week I'm at home doing housework , working from home or going to the gym so these days I'm happy to stick to leggings, oversized jumpers etc. I then wear jeans, nice jumpers and boots etc on the weekend. In the odd night out I like to plan my outfit and get something nice, my style is pretty simple and classic too.

I'd also recommend having your colour assessment done so find out what suits you
