No croc wearers at my son's nursery so far. Very unusual for norf Laandaaan. A few Birky types. Ballet pumps seem to be very popular. I wore box fresh white Adidas to collect DS today and got a few funny looks. Oh fuck off with your Boden, you bores!

Millie1, those shoes are bloody terrible! Like the espadrilles we used to wear in the 80s.
(Actually I never wore espadrilles but everyone I knew did).

Thanks CilC! Felt very nervous writing that but it is so true!!

I have trainer days, my nice flip flops are out in the sun and If I am trying to have a yummy mummy moment I will wear heels (not too high) This only last for a day and then I am back in trainers or flip flops.

I don't do Uggs or Crocs!

LyraSilvertongue · 29/04/2008 18:52

why don't any of them wear NICE shoes? What kind of school IS this?

blousy · 29/04/2008 18:58

We also have a few 'just back from the stables' types in joddies and riding boots. They always smell.

LyraSilvertongue · 29/04/2008 18:58

Starlight, people wear them with anything casual. I think they look terrible on adults but I'm getting them for DC this year.

Yikes! I wear crocks - bright pink ones! And sometimes also with big fluffy socks if it's snowing.. they are really warm actually, and you can splash in the puddles without a care in the world on the walk home.

I had a pair of birkies, but thought they were a bit too 'weave your own yoghurt'ish for me

Depending on who I've been meeting that day, I wear high boots, and also flatties. But I love my crocks

PinkTulips · 29/04/2008 23:26

have been wearing various trainers belonging to dp for the last few years, have a nice pair of black converse belonging to him atm.

only shoes i actually own are a pair of brown sandals half a size too small as they didn't have my size and i was in desperate need of summer shoes

treelover · 29/04/2008 23:37

i've been wearing my birkis since january

MummyPenguin · 30/04/2008 13:49

I recently purchased a pair of black Birkenstocks. Black to go with anything. Well, that's not strictly true, it was the only colour they had on price drop tv which is where I bought them!! I won't be wearing them until it's much warmer though. Depending on my outfit, I'm to be found wearing black reebok trainers, quite new and go with everything, well, jeans, trousers etc. or it will be my tan ugg type boots. I say ugg type as I'm not too proud to admit that they're not real uggs they're New Look ones that I got for a bargain tenner! They are real suede though. I've got a black pair too, haven't worn them yet though.

Hogiabach · 30/04/2008 14:57

I love my Birke's and have 3 different pairs, a pink, a baby blue and a green - wore them on the weekend but back in my Timberlands now as the weather here is pants!

bundle · 30/04/2008 14:59

have pink and white birkies but wouldn't wear crocs to school, they're more for gardening n stuff

marina · 30/04/2008 15:03

Am also usually in "run like !@*! for the train" Clarks flatties
I think the City of London Police would stop and search anyone in the City found in possession of Crocs on the grounds that they may well be anarchists, socialists etc

LadySanders · 30/04/2008 15:07

i wear birkies AND scary high boots (not simultaneously - sp? - as sadly only 2 feet, with so many beautiful shoes to choose from) so can't join either group

LadySanders · 30/04/2008 15:08

dp threatened sex embargo if i wore crocs
