Bought a few pairs for my daughter, who’s 13. Perhaps a stupid question but do you just wear them all day and change/wash them in the evening? Is it the same during the night?

All very new to me so feel a bit clueless!

Thank you.

If their periods are heavy, they really need the Modibodi ones or, I think the other hardcore brand is Wix. The M&S/Sainsburys etc are all pointless for anything except the lightest flow - i use those at the very end of my period when it's basically stopped but still get the odd little bit of blood.

also, depending on flow, you get the more or less hardcore ones from Modibodi - I recommend going for more heavy duty ones as much as possible.

On my heaviest flow days, I'd probably use a tampon or pad as well, and if i'm out, i'll take extra pants and pads/tampons.

Rinse well in cold water then I put them in a wet bag and wash within 24 hours ideally.

My periods are heavy but I use them in conjunction with a mooncup as I find the mooncup a bit leaky on its own. So the mooncup gets emptied 2 to 3 times a day and the pants catch any leaks. I change them morning and night.

Just seen this thread and just purchased some Wuka for my DD. Is it ok using pads with wings in pants? As I see the material seems quite delicate and because they are expensive, I am concerned with damaging them with the sticky bits from the pads.

First time using them for DD and she doesn’t seem keen on just relying on the pants as she is scared of leaking, so wants to continue using pads in the pants.

Also, I read the washing instructions. After getting the blood out with cold water, am I meant to wash them straight away in washing machine? Or can they be saved for next morning when I do the usual wash?

Thanks

reusable ones use poppers instead of sticky bits. Wouldn’t use disposable with reusable as it feels like it defeats the object!
