Where do you buy decent quality, relaxed fit crew neck jumpers?

Not after anything fancy, just nice relaxed fit every day jumpers! I've bought some stuff from Uniqlo and H&M but they literally seem to bobble after one or two wears.

I find it is more about the material rather than the price point.

Merino wool tends not to bobble as much. But good quality wool jumpers will bobble a bit. You can use one of those little tools to take them off though.

Don't buy anything acrylic, it will bobble with one wear.

Most knits will bobble a little bit, especially if they're new I find, but those shaving tools you can get should remove any piles and they will stop with time eventually.

I find that COS always does really nice knitwear, I really like this mint green one as the colour is lovely and fresh when it's grey outside. Likewise you can't go wrong with M&S - love this leopard print number. Also ARKET are lovely quality, this grey one and this white one are such classics!

You want

Community Clothing for excellent quality, British made everyday knitwear.

(Their website seems inexplicably inaccessible right now, but I’m sure it’s temporary.)

Ooooh I love the look of these but annoyingly this brand doesn't seem to do size 6 :(
I'm like 5 foot and generally v petite so size 8 tends to look too big

What fibres are you buying? IME on the high street you need to avoid acrylic and viscose.

I wear men's jumpers in cashmere or merino wool as they are nice and oversized and seem to suit me better than women's jumpers which are always too short in the arms. However I have quite wide shoulders and am taller than you (and a size 12-14). You could try some Uniqlo men's jumpers in a size XS if you are near one of their stores.

I do find that most jumpers bobble a bit in the areas where there is friction, but I use one of those lint shavers every so often and it removes the bobbles.

Look at Woolovers. Merino wool and other natural fibres at a reasonable price. May look unexciting but a crew neck jumper is the same whatever the label.

Iheartmysmart · 27/11/2024 14:27

I picked up some plain merino wool crew neck jumpers from M&S. They were about £35 each. All of them have washed and worn really well.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Hmm

Hmm I tend to disagree, the shape, materials, drape, knit etc all make a difference to how it looks and feels
