Why am I scared to wear Red lipstick ?

I feel I need a dollop full of confidence pouring into me to start wearing red lippie. I'm fifty and love it on others, but scared to death to try myself without feeling stupid. Does anybody else feel like this ? How can I not care about it and feel fabulous

Another vote for MAC reds. You’ll know you’ve got the right colour when your eyes light up.

I’m quite neutral so can wear oranges and blues.

MAC So Chaud is my perfect red but Lady Danger and Red Rock are also fab. I don’t find mattes bleed but I wear a lip pencil (MAC Brick) to make sure and even out the shape of my lips.

Red is so classic but I only really wear it with casual outfits now so it doesn’t look too much.
