Swimming Pool hair!

Due to a hip condition, my dd2 has been advised to swim as much as possible, every day if she can. As she is 4 and a half, that means me too, of course.

I have dry hair that is also dyed and she has very very fine almost 'baby' hair still. I am noticing mine much dryer than usual in the last 3 weeks since we started the swimming and hers is just all over the place.

Do those anti-chlorine shampoos work? Or does anyone have any other advice, other than swimming caps, which I tried and hated and she wouldnt even put on!

Hi Weegiemum,
I swim a lot and also have dry hair [mine is curly]. I was advised by my hairdresser to use anti chlorine shampoo which I do. I dont bother with the conditioner as I prefer something richer, but shampoo twice.

If you can, try again with the swimming cap, I understand its probably impossible with your dd, but for you. They do help.
When I have a lot of hair,I cant get the hat on. What I do is I wet it then smother it with conditioner before putting the hat on. I think this offers some protection.

Boots do a spray on anti chlorine swim conditioner I think. maybe put on your dd before swimming.

Good luck.
