Anyone else really struggled with Lanx Boots?

So, I bought a pair of Lanx Dinckley boots last winter, and they rubbed my heels to bits. I kept wearing them for short periods, 2 pairs of socks, plasters on my heels, even tried softening them with leather balm after a tip from a friend but wasn't completely successful. After literally hobbling back from work one day I threw them in a cupboard.

But I like the look of them, and I feel guilty about how expensive they were. I know I could sell them but other people wear them and swear they are comfortable. Are the reviews a lie or have I just got very weird feet?

Anyhow DH and I are going into town and I have dusted off the boots and I am giving them another go!!

Never heard of these boots, Are they too small?

DR Martens are notoriously hard to break in but it's perseverance.

I have these boots OP. It took a while to wear them in but once they softened they have been amazing. I started by wearing them around the house to get used to rhe feel of them (the leather was really hard). Then on short walks. Then walks with hills or in the countryside. Then on my commute. Took about 2 months. I got blisters too just like you. I only persevered because they are so expensive. Now they are perfect and I wear them all day with no problems at all. Good luck!

I only have to look at them and my heels get ready for blisters. I can't believe people think they're a good idea.

This is encouraging thank you, I have worn them around town today and they rubbed a little across the top of my foot but it was much better than before. I think I gave up too soon last time. They feel cushioned and really supportive and they are such lovely boots. I will keep trying.

I have the Chipping but it's probably a softer boot . No problems with them from day one. They're really comfortable.

I didn't get on with them. If you haven't worn the much you might get a good price for them on vinted, then put the money towards some comfortable boots. They don't get much love on here, but pascal dms are comfy straight out of the box. Life is short. Very some shoes you can wear.
