Hot Air Brush - help please

As someone with a pixie cut, I am hopeless about hair styling items so I need some help.

DD (17) has wavy, fairly thick hair which is cut into a long bob/up to the collarbone length (depending how often she goes for a trim).

She is looking into getting her own hair dryer and I thought about going the hot air brush route instead. It's definitely as a method of drying her hair, not so much about styling it afterwards.

I don't want to spend a fortune, can anyone recommend something? She hates shopping and hates comparing items so giving her some recommendations first will help her.

I find mine (Babyliss Big Hair) a nuisance to dry it fully, so would use a regular hair dryer and then the Big Hair.

@reluctantbrit
I do this too as it's much quicker.

Hot air stylers are finishing tools you use when the hair is 80 % dry, you dry with a hair drier first then finish off.

I have just brought a Bondiboost blowout brush. I like it 👍🏼

Sorry, to add, it is a finishing tool. So hair naturally drives to 80% then finish with the brush. It gives a nice sleek finish though.

Definitely use it as a finishing tool

I can highly recommend the drybar I use it to dry and style my thick jaw length bob, it’s amazing.

That is what I was looking for.

To the other PP - I have seen hot brushes and do understand that they are styling tools.

Recently bought the Revlon Salon One Step. It was on offer for £35 so I thought I’d give it a go and I actually really like it. It gives as good as, if not better finish to my hair than my Dyson dryer and GHD straighteners and definitely more volume. I do blast for a minute or so with my Dyson first but do most of the work with the Revlon. I have long, fine hair but absolutely loads of it and even with all the sectioning, I can be dried and done in 20 minutes.
