very light flow period pants

Hi, not sure if this is style and beauty so let me know if a different topic is more suitable. My periods are irregular with perimenopause and I wear period pants in the days leading up to my period potentially coming so it doesn't catch me out and leak. I have quite thick ones (modi and m&s) and I find them a bit sweaty and make my down below smell a bit unpleasant. I was thinking I should get some period pants for light flow to use for these days - just enough to catch the inital bleeding and then I will use a tampon as soon as I notice.
Looking for recommendations of thin, comfortable, not too expensive, non-sweaty pants that will hopefully keep down below feeling and smelling fresh!

Thanks

Are the ones you're currently using designed for heavy flow? If so just buy the ones with the lightest flow icon on them (just one 'drop')
If you're already wearing pants that are for lighter flow then maybe you need to use just a light pant liner instead? I know they're not environmentally friendly but as you've mentioned you use tampons that might not be a huge factor for you and you'd only be using them for a few days?
There should never really be a bad smell from down below though, so I'd be more inclined to get that checked out regardless.

I only use heavy flow at the moment and would like recommendations for specific brands. M&S online don't seem to have any available online for light flow. But their pricing is good - £16 for 3 pairs - so a comparable price with a brand that someone has tried and tested is what i'm looking for. Primark ones are horrible and plasticky.

Oh and ones that I can just chuck in the washing machine at 40 please. M&S ones are great for that but don't have any light ones.

Cheeky wipes show the absorbency on the website and offer the full range

Have you ever tried a cup? I've used them for years and they were a game changer for me. Unlike tampons you can wear them when you're not actually bleeding. I wore one on holiday when I was due my period just in case it came early while I was in a bathing suit.
