I’m really in a style rut, especially since having my son. I was never fashionable but could make myself look ok, now I’m just clueless. My body has changed and I don’t really know what suits me anymore. I’m always in skinny jeans or leggings, neither of which do me any favours, and long sleeve t-shirts. Bland and unflattering.

So I’d love a little bit of help to bring me into a ever so slightly more

Based on my measurements, according to google I’m a triangle/pear shape. I’m 5’2” and a size 16. 40 years old with a toddler and an office job, but very casual setting so I don’t need anything too dressy, just day to day stuff that I’ll feel good walking around in.

I would really love some suggestions of items of clothing with links/photos – rather than tips of what to look for because I really am that clueless.

Budget is pretty low, probably max £50 for a single item but I would prefer cheaper as I'd like to buy several pieces.

No decent shops near where I live so online is my only option.

Would LOVE some help please!! (footwear included for bonus points)

A good place to start is instagram. If you can find someone with your body shape it’s probably helpful - but if you follow a few women then the algorithm will suggest more.
Not sure of your preferred style but to get you started here are a few I like:
stylebyclairelopez - puts together classic/neutral looks
thesilvercat - high street looks, a bit more fun
Alexandra.stedman - more a repeat wearer and outfit builder
janne.aunan - classic but with a European vibe
Novasistas - crazy with colour

You can see what brands they wear but also put together similar looks from other shops, Vinted etc.

I'm same age and similar size. I like this type of dress, button down is quite flattering, long sleeves but can be rolled up with a slight flared skirt to skim my tummy.
I'm 5ft 4 and this dress comes just over knee. I wear with DMs or heeled boots.

I mean just above knee

Probably still frumpy or at least not edgey but I like ankle boots, tights/leggings and a dress on top, jersey blazer rather than a cardigan. I always feel more put together dressed like that rather than separate bottom and top.

Brakeburn is good for Fat Face / Seasalt / Boden style without the price tag.
Perhaps a belt or other accessories from Disturbia to make it edgier rather than school run.

I really like that Apricot dress. Was going to suggest tunic style things, can be worn with opaque tights, leggings or yoga pants. Throw a cardi over if need extra warmth.

Do you have a waist? A fit n flare dress is very flattering if so.
