Hello,

any hair dressers here?

can you recommend a good shampoo & conditioner? I am using Aussie at the mo, but a friend told me that it’s not very good for your hair and can really dry it out even though it lathers up well.

something that doesn’t cost the world! I use davines on special occasions but I want a good every day one

I'm no expert but my go to shampoo and conditioner for under £10 each is Hask Kerratin smoothing. I recently went for a change and bought Bed Head by TIGI - Bigger The Better Hair Volume Conditioner, which I absolutely love for the price. It leaves my hair soft but not weighted down and it actually swishes around a bit. Usually my hair moves like one solid sheet!

Not a hairdresser but mine recommended the teal coloured tigi bed head urban antidotes range. You can get it on Amazon or in home bargains/b&m. Massive bottles for £7.50. lasts forever. Brilliant stuff

I tend to change brand everytime and my hair always feels amazing the first few times then it seems to get too used to that brand until I switch again.

So, to answer your question - whatever is half price that week at the supermarket.

I just buy whichever curly shampoo is on offer

CraftyNavySeal · 04/11/2024 16:55

Does your hair feel dried out? If it’s not actually causing you any problems then keep using it.

Most hairdressers have told me to use whatever works for your hair!

Agree with above. If it isn't actually drying your hair out, you don't have a problem.

I use vosene, a £2.99 purple shampoo and a curly conditioner and my hair is always in lovely condition.

My hair condition seems okay and doesn’t seem dried out, but I feel like it could be better if you know what I mean? I also find switching up shampoos and conditioners every once in a while does my hair the world of good, so basically I’m looking for a change and wondering what to buy. A couple of you have mentioned tigi so I might check that brand out. I just don’t want to spend loads of money on an every day shampoo.
