Losing hair on hairline

Hey guys,
Hoping to get some advice, i always wear my hair up in a bun every day( i suffer from anxiety and am not comfortable wearing my hair a different way even though id love to ) I try not to have it tight and use a soft hairband designed not to pull hairs,
But I've noticed My hair thinning at the front but there does seem to be small hairs growing back.
Can anyone recommend anything to use long term to help it grow back. I'm only 28 and no receding hair line history in the family.

I'm using hair loss shampoo but don't know if it's helping 🤔

Sorry, I’ve got no suggestion of products. Are you sure it’s not just the contrast between your darker hair and scalp that makes it look like you’ve slightly less hair? We all naturally have shorter hairs due to the hair growth cycle. Can you wear your hair down at home so you give it a bit of a break from being tied back.

Regaine the mens one

It is either traction alopecia or frontal fribrosing alopecia.
Best thing is to cut your hair and see if you can get minoxidil

Ditch the hair ties/bobbles.Massage the area with this stuff. My hairdresser recommended www.delhiciousbody.com/collections/frontpage/products/rich-roots-hair-and-scalp-oil?variant=40826810728514

It’s definitely the bun that is doing it, do you think you’d be able to have it cut much shorter so you can’t put it up or would this be very bad for your anxiety.
Do you have it in the bun at night, if so could you try having it lose then?

Could you tie a looser bun at the nape of your neck instead of up high & not pull your hair back so tight? I too think it’s the traction that’s the cause.

Hi sorry can't reply individually to all comments..

I have definitely stopped having it so tight recently and the hair is not pulling as much anymore, I'm going to get it cut a bit so it's also not as heavy anymore either.

I won't pull the front back as tight anymore and hope for the best.

It definitely was worse before I found pics from around 2 years ago and it was so bad 👎
I'll attach a picture..

I'm going to use a loose claw clip from now on instead of the hairbands and I've started to use rosemary oil as well.

Thanks for all your suggestions

Well done for catching it in time to reverse the hair loss.

MissHalloween · 01/11/2024 11:37

Yes good you’re onto it, my friend is late 40’s and I’ve watched the same thing happen to her hair over the years, it’s much much worse than yours now.
