What to do when laser hasn’t worked

I have very pale Irish skin with almost black hair. I have had ten sessions of professional laser. Definitely a strong laser machine. The hair on my bikini hasn’t changed at all. So I stopped after six session. On my legs. The hair is thinner. But still loads of it. Only reduced by about 10%.

Ive just had a consult with someone who only does laser. She’s said the place I’ve been with them offering lots of different treatments. Are a jack of all trades. Master of none. She said by making the hair thin the hair would be hard to destroy now through a laser.

Should I book a course of laser with her and hope for the best? Or is the Philips lumea any good? Or have I made a bad move going with who has done it and be stuck with hair forever.

Go to another clinic and get another opinion. If your skin is pale and hair is dark I can’t imagine the thickness matters, it’s the pigment in your hairs that the laser picks up on. Make sure you go to a clinic that only does laser, I can recommend a few if you’re in Ireland.

I have fair skin and dark, thick facial hair. It took a LOT of courses before I cleared it. When I say a lot I reckon about 6 courses of 6. Probably more. I went to SK:N and they often had really good discount offers but it really cost a lot more than I’d hoped it would. I have congenital adrenal hyperplasia and the main sign if it was male pattern facial and body hair growth and a low voice. I wasn’t eligible for nhs treatment so ended up paying myself. It was so worth it. I just got my face/chin and jaw done as couldn’t afford body hair treatment as it would be both full leg and stomach.

I was expecting one or two courses but it needed far more.

Sorry no in England. I think that’s the mistake I made not going to someone who only does laser

I’m sorry that wasn’t available on the nhs, I know they will class that as cosmetic but that could affect you. Glad your persevered! I had(!) quite thick hair but nothing unusual. Was expecting a much better result at this point but good to hear it can happen

I hope you don’t mind me asking but who is good in Ireland? Would love to get some done too but don’t know much about it.
