Knee high boots falling down

sammylady37 · 13/10/2024 14:48

As the title says, is there any way to stop knee high boots from sliding down my calves as I walk? Would some kind of body tape work, even if I’m wearing tights or leggings?
thanks!

Are they fabric? Or leather?

sammylady37 · 13/10/2024 15:10

Fabric

Are they supposed to be slouch boots? Maybe they are supposed to bunch up

TheHighPriestess1 · 13/10/2024 19:07

Adhesive Velcro tape
one bit round your calf and the other inside the boot. Works perfectly

Velcro? What a faff. Seriously OP they obviously aren't practical. What's the point?

What you need is a pair of 'wader braces'.

As long you are not at a posh do with a strapless dress etc. They're a Godsend, you attach them to your boots and "Wallah' (as the French say in France) your boots stay exactly where they should be. Upright, uptight.

A word of caution, don't bend down as the elastic straps are pretty strong and you could spend the whole evening wandering about bent over like an old crone from some Shakespearen play.
I know I did.
Once.

No, but it’s just that the fit isn’t perfect, they’re slightly loose at the top and fall down a bit. They don’t end up at my ankles, just not pulled up all the way as far as they should be.

The boots sound like they are around knee high. Wader braces go over your shoulders and back no? I can't see how they could go all the way to your knees. Sounds awkward.
Maybe you are joking and I'm being literal

Omg I think I love you! Thank you! These would work, I think. Not glamorous or sexy, but needs must.

That’s pretty much what I did with the Velcro

YeezyBreezy · 27/01/2025 15:26

@sammylady37 did you buy these in the end? Did they work?

sammylady37 · 27/01/2025 21:06

I didn’t… haven’t worn those boots since I posted the thread!!
