Fine and Flyaway Hair

My hair is very fine and can get a little bit frizzy esp in Winter. I was going to try a keratin blow dry to get it all
smooth but research online says this isn’t great for menopausal hair. Can anyone recommend good products for smoothing? I just use any shampoo so I’m thinking sulfate free for a start. Would an elasticiser help? Putting oil in the ends doesn’t seem to work

Fibrology works for me.

I switched to Alfaparf Milano shampoo and conditioner and a Dyson hair dryer in June. Haven't used straighteners since then either, and my hair is transformed.

Definitely sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. Not sure of your budget but it’s well with investing in a decent brand, Redken is good.
Dyson hair dryer is great and gentle on hair, as mentioned previously.
Use a serum and/or blow dry cream to help smooth and protect your hair too. There is a brand called IQ I love their blow dry cream really thickens my hair up.

Thank you for the suggestions. I rarely blow dry it but the blow dry cream sounds good anyway. Am looking up IQ now

I am 57, previous thick long hair is now very fine / thin and the grey bits stick out, horrible mess! I tried frizz ease shampoo and conditioner (John Frieda) it is so much better I am delighted. I should say I never used conditioner before so it was a low bar. I don’t leave it in for long, a few seconds and then rinse off but it still works.

Just checked, it’s called Profiller + thickening shampoo and there is a matching conditioner.

Uas anyone used the Colour Wow shampoo and conditioner? Wondering how they compare to Redken?
