Help finding the perfect office work ankle boot

I have been trying to find the perfect ankle boot to wear to the office with black trousers and smart jeans.

I want them to be black leather (not suede), lowish heel (not kitten or cowgirl block), not lace up, pointy(ish) toe (not round or square or pointy square). Fussy I know, but can’t seem to find the elusive boot. Flexible on budget. Can anyone help please?

I’m struggling too op. Everything I really like is too high. I need to be able to walk up to the school after work to collect dd. I don’t want completely flat though. I love Chelsea boots but I don’t feel dressy enough for work.
I ordered some river island ones but the toe was too round 🤦🏼‍♀️ perfect heel though.
New look boots seem to be as expensive as Next this year but still look cheaper.
I usually find something on Next but everything I like on there is suede or too high.
I’m also fussy about the toe.

I’ve bought boots from Anonymous Copenhagen before and find them comfy but slightly more than average price.

I want these: https://madetheedit.com/collections/boots/products/anonymous-copenhagen-fiona-black-stud-ankle-boot

Ooh I love the first pair too. 🤩. I only recently discovered the brand and already have these.

Such nice quality soft leather.

I'm having the same problem but need a really wide fit which makes it even more difficult to find something 😞.

You need the now discontinued office bramble boot in black. Should be able to get them for a tenner on vinted

I have these and they are incredibly comfortable and seem to fit your brief?

These? Or is the heel too blocky? I know what you mean OP - I've been looking for the same thing and finding it hard, but might go for these.

stringbean · 12/10/2024 09:10

The link goes to patent leather ones - yuk! - but there are plain leather ones too.

Clarabella77 · 12/10/2024 10:28

I have these and confirm that they are a versatile, comfortable pair of boots that work for many outfits and situations.

I’ve been looking at those vully-50 boots for weeks and dithering because I can’t try on for size. Are they true to size and are they comfortable? Personally I prefer suede and I love that they have chocolate brown, dark green and grey. Spoilt for choice!

I love my vagabond Marja boots, they are really comfortable despite being quite stiff to pull on

They are exactly true to size and very comfy -I deliberated for months but glad but love them now I have them. Look good with narrow jeans tucked in and also wide jeans and dresses.

Have you come across Esska yet? I’ve had a few pairs of their low heel boots which I’ve found really comfortable. My favourite aren’t on sale any more but some similar ones at the link below. At the pricier end however.

I was pleasantly surprised by Phase 8 ankle boots recently. www.phase-eight.com/shoes/boots/ www.phase-eight.com/shoes/boots/]]]] I didn't even know they sold shoes!

I got a nice low heeled pair of suede boots from last year in a sample sale but quite a few from the link above are appealing. A few might be too high for you though.

Can't go wrong with a Josef Seibel.

These are expensive but I have another pair from here and they’re very nice (charity shop and a taupe suede):-

I had similar criteria @95percentcocoa and bought these last week which were a bit of a bargain in the sale and ticked all my boxes. https://www.laredoute.co.uk/ppdp/prod-350230098.aspx?dim1=1&dim2=3&cod=Google-PPC-Shopping-21584646431-&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwgfm3BhBeEiwAFfxrGw7pIAsZrPCS0x3KK8t1WSCGil5kuKAKvN_2Fml6whC2Cozs_OEtFRoCWjoQAvD_BwE
