Suppose you have only ever met someone sat aty a desk, then you see them in a pub in a mini skirt.

What would make you think "Wow, she's got good legs" (and what would make you think "Gosh that was a Bad Choice")

absence of cankles is a pre-requisite for Good Legs.

As someone who is often told 'you have good legs' I admit I haven't a clue what the requirement for 'good legs' is. A defined calf?

PerkinWarbeck · 23/04/2008 11:17

where calves and ankles run into each other without shape or definition. aka fat ankles. which can be spotted on those with slim legs.

I have a fine set of cankles.

slim, nice knees (not knobbly like mine), smooth skin, toned-looking calves, slender ankles

DrNortherner · 23/04/2008 11:19

Cheryl Tweedy = Cankles

Good legs - long, lean, tanned, thighs that don't meet in the middle.

i CAN DREAM.......

bethoo · 23/04/2008 11:19

in my eyes great legs are slender with toned defined calves and thighs that do not touch at the top (unlike mine!!)

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 23/04/2008 11:19

Mine!

Oliveoil · 23/04/2008 11:20

DrNortherner · 23/04/2008 11:21

Lol, this reminds me of he fact that DH's legs are a talking point at work.
He played a charity football match and people were amazed at his freaky legs. He now gets people he's never seen before coming up to him in the office and asking to see his calves.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 23/04/2008 11:22

Posh spice has awful legs, like twigglets!

Kelly Brook has good legs. Toned but not stick thin.

DrNortherner · 23/04/2008 11:22

My dh has good legs (for a woman not a man I hasten to add) he looks fab in tights.

TsarChasm · 23/04/2008 11:25

Boney old knees are out.

Ledodgy · 23/04/2008 11:27

slim, toned calves slim ankles, no cankles, smooth even coloured knees.

OrmIrian · 23/04/2008 11:30

Mine. I have good legs. I feel quite comfortable boasting because they are the only bit of me that I can boast about . 36" long, nice shape, not too thin but no flab and since I started running you can see light between the top of my thighs (just).

Oliveoil · 23/04/2008 11:32

I have long thin legs but they are not shapely at all

like twigs, I do not have any calf muscles to speak of

but they work so what is there to moan about?

LaCerbiatta · 23/04/2008 12:18

Oliveoil, my legs are like yours and I hate them! What do you wear in the summer? All skirts look horrible....

AitchTwoOhelicopterfraek · 23/04/2008 12:21

Posh's legs are AWFUL. i knew a stylist who said that she'd banned showing her knees cos they were too bony then all of a sudden they were deemed okay again? filler?

DarthVader · 23/04/2008 12:23

Good legs are long and shapely, not too thin like Posh and not too muscular either.

like this

cyteen · 23/04/2008 12:23

Good legs: toned, in proportion, defined ankles, smooth skin.
