Has anyone successfully shrunk your stretch jeans down a size?

I've bought some Levi's stretch jeans (1pc elastane) that seemed great - and I couldn't even get into the size down in the shop. But they've immediately lost their tightness and feel a size too big now - I wouldn't recommend these as a brand. But so I can keep wearing them, has anyone ever managed to shrink down stretch jeans? I have read that you can't put elastane on a high heat - but as I want to shrink them down does it really matter. Thanks for any insights!

Tumble dry always works for me - probably only be smaller for a wear or two though but you could stick them in again with a damp cloth.

I have Levi’s with a bit of stretch and they are similar, love them but they do get bigger with each wear.

They have stayed big after you have washed them?

We used to sit in the bath in our jeans.

And end up with blue legs as the dye always ran.

Trying to shrink them permanently ie deciding whether to try a high heat - not just the usual shrinkage you get when you wash them

I've heard showering with them on does the trick but never tried so could be a myth!

Most of my jeans tend to shrink over time. I assumed because we mostly tumble dry. I always buy the stretchiest ones I can. Don't know if that means they are more likely to shrink.
