Serums for dry skin

Hey! So since having DD 2 years ago my skin has changed a lot. I'm noticing lots of fine lines and my skin is just looking very dull and feels dry.
I went for a skin consultation a few months back and was recommended skin ceuticals moisturiser which I have been using but at £150 a pot I'm not that impressed with the results.
Does anyone have any good recommendations for some good quality serum/moisturiser for mid 30s dry skin?

Thanks!

Hi OP, maybe you could try and hyaluronic acid serum, followed by a rich moisturiser. The Ordinary is a good brand, they do hyaluronic acid serums.

Also Geek and Gorgeous is a good brand I really like that do products at a reasonable price. I use this in the winter for my drier skin:

Also, if your skin is looking dull, you could try some gentle exfoliation with a lactic acid or glycolic acid serum once or twice a week (start slowly and see how your skin reacts).

Cerave is another brand that do reasonably priced moisturisers. You could even look online at what some of the ingredients were in the Skinceuticals moisturiser you liked, and then find them in something cheaper.

With the very expensive brands, you are basically paying for the fancy packing and posh name - these days skincare is all about good ingredients, and you can get them in products at all price points. Basically, skincare is a bit of trial and error, that's why it's nice to try cheaper products so you don't waste loads of money.

After a recommendation on here, I've recently started using the Hyaluronic acid serum from The Inkey List followed by their Peptide moisturiser and I really think it's made a difference to my skin. I apply them both in the evening once I've removed my makeup.
They are often on offer on Amazon or in Boots, and they currently have free delivery if you order directly from The Inkey List website.

Thank you so much for the recommendations! X

I've started using the aveeno calm & restore range and considering the price, I'm thrilled with the results. I have to use them twice a day but have bad eczema so if it's worked on my dodgy skin I imagine it'll do wonders on others. I just found it browsing on amazon so have it on subscribe and save now

Oily fish. (Don’t put it on your face.)

More organic vegetables and fruit than you ever thought it possible to consume.

Sleep …
