Footwear needed advice please

I am hoping I might get advice or suggestions from others who also have problems with their feet.
I am in desperate need of a new pair of trainers as that is what I wear daily.

I have bad painful bunions and osteoarthritis. I have mainly stuck to Skechers over the last few years, as I like their style and I find them to be cushioning and quite supportive.
However they wear down quickly and nearly all are mesh, so not good in the cold and let the rain through.

I know that without buying a waterproof trainer style like Karrimor and a few other makes I have seen, I do not expect a trainer to tick all the boxes.
The Skechers soles wear down quickly too, but then due to lack of finding much that I liked at the time. And restricted heavily, money wise, I end up wearing one pair, all the time, until they are no good.

The Podiatrist I saw said that they are good gave a couple of other names I think ASICS and Hoka? Can't remember the other one.

I'm also looking to replace my ankle wellies now they all come up differently, I saw some on Amazon by Lakeland living I think it was and they seem good from the description and reviews about cushioning etc. As the ankle wellies I have owned felt like I was walking bare foot I could feel everything on the ground.

Any suggestions are very welcome! Thankyou.

Hokas are great. I have painful feet, but my Hokas (I do change the insole for ones for my specific foot problems) let me walk for hours. I get the wide fit.
I also like On Running trainers but it took a bit more finding the right one.
For wet/muddy I have some waterproof Hoka boots

Oh, and as they are expensive, you'll often find pairs on ebay which have been worn for a couple of runs before people discover they don't suit them and vastly cheaper, or SportsShoes.com has Hokas at a discount

Fellow arthritic here and I live in my Nike trainers. They're running ones not fashion ones so have arch support.

Yet another pair of arthritic feet here. I have found toed socks very useful. Your big toe is free of its neighbour and your little toe is free too that improves balance. Injinji is the brand I recommend. Merrel waterproof trainers are wide and comfortable.

Thankyou all so far, great suggestions.

@CMOTDibbler Yes I will be looking up the Hoka range! I think it was those or maybe ASICS the Podiatrist said there is a discount store I can't remember where though.
