It is for a social event which doesn't bear explaining - what I want are one of thsoe big shirts, a hipbelt, a stretchy black min or possibly hotpants. Also quite large-size for a bloke to wear. And somewhere I can get to in London. Really grateful for any help at all on this one.

VersdeSociete · 21/04/2008 14:58

Thanks orangina - it's a thought - quite a long way from me (am in East London) but might be worth a trip if can't think of somewhere closer.

Hopeless! I'm sure there's a costume shop in Camden, on the High St maybe, perhaps you could google it? Might be easier for you.....

VersdeSociete · 21/04/2008 15:02

I'll google. I hadn't thought costume shop for some reason. I think I was vaguely thinking there might be some ordinary shop caught in a timewarp - a strange branch of Miss Slefridge or something...

H&M would definitely be worth a shot. Oxford St. Or you could hit eBay and buy it now... might get it in by friday...

Primark are still doing all those big print T shirts, and you will find loads of belts. i saw some of the elasticated ones with the big butterfly clasps from the 80's in there recently.

Amapoleon · 21/04/2008 15:10

My brother is built like a tank and for his 80's party we bought him a xxl fruit of the loom tshirt and took it to the printers and got frankie says relax printed on it.

VersdeSociete · 21/04/2008 23:14

ooh, now primark is an idea. although am having problems with bloke baulking at scheme so clothes may be an irrelevance.
