Quality basic t-shirts

I recently got a t-shirt from 'the edit' at Primark, it is thick and buttery soft and the fit is excellent, kind of oversized, boxy but not baggy. It's so much nicer than usual Primark quality! It was £12. Of course I went back to buy it in every colour and they're sold out.

Where else will I get a quality basic T? Not too short, and I'm a size 20. Looking around £20 max.

Neutrals, stripes, no brights. Used to love the m&s longline ones, I still have a couple but they're not made the same now.

I have nothing to add other than I have this exact Primark tshirt and agree with how great it is. Washes well too.

M&S had a lovely thick tshirt but I am sure it was a ridiculous price of £35 or something, that's why I went with Primark one lol

I'm not surprised it sold out, i really love it. It feels much more expensive and I agree it washes well.

I also love the Primark ones! Have a look at Uniqlo, the oversized airism ones. I am 5’11 and a size 16 and I like the men’s ones in an L as they are longer than the women’s, although like much Uniqlo clothing they could be unisex to be fair - this link is for the neutrals but they also have striped and other colours, search ‘airism.’ They’re so good!

Rapanui t-shirts are incredibly well made. Their £20 each but you'll still be wearing it them in 5 years

Just in case anyone comes back to this with the same question. The Next heavyweight crew neck is what I've gone for, they seem pretty good so far. Let's see how they wash.

I got a £3.50 M&S tshirt but unfortunately it was at an outlet (The Portsmouth one!).

Yes Friends do a great unisex tshirt, small range of colours but great quality, wash very well and ethically produced to boot. But actually affordable. They might be my holy grail but if I say it out loud they will discontinue them.
