Eye aesthetics - need help!

Anyone that has successfully treated under-eye area and/or droopy eye lids?
I’m 49 and the last few years I have developed very dark rings with ‘puffs’ underneath, that makes me look so tired. I have always had hooded eyes, but with age the left one is hanging lower than the right.

I have gone for consultations and been recommended:

  1. Polynucleotides
  2. Exomes
  3. Dermapen with peptides, vitamin A, something beginning on Ret (not Retinol but something similar, I’ll look it up)
Anyone with experience? I’m wary of side effects, in particular swelling, as the ‘puffs’ under the eyes can go huge with water retention. And, it’ll be a lot of money, so I want to be reassured that Im choosing something that’s worked for someone else. Very grateful for responses and advice!

Option 3 is dermapen with Retinaldehyde, as well as Vitamin E, Centella Asiatica Extract, and Copper Peptides

Depends how bad it is, but I have baggy under eyes which are getting softer and 'pouching' as I age. My upper eyelids are starting to droop and sag and cover my lower eyelid - I've abandoned eyeshadow and eyeliner as you can't see it!

In my case it's genetic - my Mum and my Gran were both the same. And I've been told that no eye cream or 'soft' treatment will solve it - and that the only way to fix it is to have an upper and lower blepharoplasty. Which is what I intend to do in the next couple of years.

Yep, surgery. One of my siblings has just done it, with good results. That sort of thing's way out of my budget. I tried the stickers East Asians sometimes use to push up their eyelids. They sort of work, although I'm too lazy to bother with it and they feel funny. If you care a lot about it and can afford to, the knife's the only way.

If there is a credibly alternative I am watching with interest! I'd like it done purely because it does not matter how much sleep I get, or how well I feel, I always look absolutely exhausted. I don't mind the lines I've got, or the fact that my hair is going grey - I don't mind the other signs of ageing, I'd just like to not look permanently tired!!

Yes. I had an upper and lower bleph almost a year ago. No more droopy lids and under eye bags gone! I'll see if I can find a pic.

Thanks all. To those of you who have had / thinking about / know someone who has had the surgery, how much was it and can you recommend someone for a consultation.

Uff, I was really hoping not to have to go under the knife, lol!

Great result @CollagenQueen - what was the downtime / healing like?

I had other stuff done at the same time (have a thread on here about it), but regarding just the eyes, it was honestly a piece of cake! Eyelids were swollen for a few weeks, but no pain at all. I used Signature Clinic. I think the cost of the eyes was (iirc) about £3000-3500. My total bill was higher as I also had a face and neck lift, at the same time.

Thank you so much for the info @CollagenQueen very helpful.

Still interested to hear from anyone that has tried a non-surgical option; are they all a load of rubbish…? The polynucleotides (salmon sperm!) is hailed lke some kind of wonderdrug.
