Any one had one? I’d like to get it done as my lids are about to drop over the top of my eyeball, and I was just wondering about people’s experiences.

My friend had it done at Moorfields on the NHS. She feels a lot more comfortable now.

The doc who does my Botox has just had it done, she said it was painless and quick healing after local anaesthetic, lots of bruising though.

The reason I get Botox is it stops my brow pushing my own droopy eyelid further.

Best thing I ever did. Runs in my family and myself, my mum and aunty have had it done - not only does it look brilliant I also feel much more 'awake' and less heavy, tired eyes! No regrets here.

Glad you started this OP, I'm looking to get it done next year.

Yes best thing I ever did.

BUT first week of recovery was brutal. I looked like I’d been in fight with Mike Tyson. Whole face swollen and bruised wouldn’t even let my husband see me.

This is my before/after

Yes OP, do it!

I had mine done in March and I love it. Join the Blephroplasty group on Facebook. Do lots of research for a good surgeon who cares about his reputation and his patients - you will know that but what their aftercare and post surgery follow up procedures are. I had removable sutures rather than dissolvable ones. I sent my surgeon pictures of my eyes at day 3, had a phone call with him and then saw him for removal at day 11 I believe, then had another post op check.

I will say that people on the Blephroplasty group seem to show pictures of themselves looking wonderful with full make up on at 2 weeks and that was not the case for me. I went back to work at 2 weeks but only with a touch of mascara, my eyes were gritty and dry. I'd say it was a good 3 months before things felt more settled and 6 months till I felt the redness of the upper lids was fading. I have Botox with him now every 6 months to keep the eyebrows raised a bit. My face looks a million times better than it did at the start of the year.

I know two people who have had this done. To be honest I can't see a massive difference. I think you're maybe just prone to it, in one of them her mum had very hooded eyes so it's maybe genetic.
