Dance mums/dads/everyone help please - hairbrushes for ballet

Does anyone have a recommendation for a sturdy hair brush that will catch flyaways when putting my daughter's hair into a bun for ballet? Ideally I'd like to buy a high quality one rather than a cheapo thing on Amazon.

You might not need any more responses at this stage, but I’m not sure that any brush catches the flyaways well enough. We use a paddle brush, as it’s the most effective way to get rid of tangles before you start.

This is what I do - same basic technique for bun/cross-over braid, etc.

Kit
paddle brush (or whatever else you prefer)
fine-toothed comb
spray bottle of water
spray gel
hairspray
hair elastics/hair pins (not Kirby grips)/hairnet

Spritz hair with mist of water
Just before I brush each section into the ponytail, I also apply spray gel.
Once the ponytail is tied, it is usually pretty good, but I then use a fine-toothed comb to comb all the hair back so it is perfectly sleek. You end up with a small ridge at the base of the ponytail, but this is hidden by the bun.
Do bun or braids in usual way and secure with hairnet and hairpins.
Then spray with hairspray, and whilst hairspray still wet, use fine-toothed comb to pull any remaining flyaways at the hairline back into place. (Get dancer to look down when doing the hairs at nape of neck)

This lasts pretty much all day.

Thank you so much! I am still trying to find a solution so this is really helpful
