What's the most you'd spend on work wardrobe items?

Like for example blazer, trousers, shoes, bag individually. Hearing people's dress code too would be interesting.

NO judgment btw, whether it's very little or a whole ton. I'm looking at having to RTO after a long time so am curious. I don't really have the spare money to get anything but am also telling self I have years' worth of money saved on not needing work clothes (this isn't true).

Blazers are one thing where I think spending more pays dividends, so I do have a couple that were £3-400. And I still wear them to the office even though I don’t need to because they were so expensive and they’re so lovely. I wouldn’t dream of spending that much on a dress, though, unless I was planning to get married in it. I’d probably be happy to spend up to £150 on a blouse if it was silk and beautiful, but as a pp said, I now have so many left over from the old days that they’re never going to get more than a couple of wears a year- I’ll never need to buy any more.
