I have seen what I think is a dress.....can I wear it over trousers?

The "dress" is chiffony. Guessing it would come to knee length/shorter. I actually thought it was a tunic when I saw it. But the undervest thing is full length.

Anyway a size 8 could probably get away with it as a dress. Me with my huge bum won't. As soon as I bend over I will expose my bum.

Can I wear it as a tunic over wide trousers? Is that not the fashion now?

Have you got a pic?

SlightlyMadSweet · 19/04/2008 22:49

I was just looking for one....but struggling. It is Tesco and they don't do online clothes per se...

if you have a look here and wait for the pics to scroll round it is a little bit similar to teh flowery Tea dress - especially length. But it is a black and white pattern and slightly more tunicy in shape.

oh I always wear dresses over trousers, who cares if it's ok or not? I like the look. But then am a quasi hippy.

LaComtesse · 19/04/2008 22:54

I would think you could wear it over trousers or perhaps leggings for a smoother line (dependig where you want to wear it). I wear long-ish tops over cropped jeans in the summer since my tummy is making a bid for world domination . I bought a tea-dress a couple of years ago I occasionally wear over jeans - when I can be bothered to iron it!

SlightlyMadSweet · 19/04/2008 22:54

it would give this sort of effect That is a long dress to wear with trousers isn't it?

But top black and white chiffon, shaped under the bust, tius at the back to pull it in. Black trousers.

The fact that I thought it was a long tunic from a distance must surely say something?

this is hte closest one I can find. Except 'mine' is chiffon with a vest thing underneath.

the wallis one you linked to, if it's similar, yes I would definitely wear that over leggings/trousers. Esp. if it's on/above the knee!

SlightlyMadSweet · 19/04/2008 23:10

TY it is very similar in shape...if has teh underbust cross thing in black and the rest is a black white swirl/floral pattern.

Wide leg floaty trousers will be OK? (I am rather large down below)

SlightlyMadSweet · 19/04/2008 23:18
