I'm looking for trousers to wear for everyday use. Not seriously smart office type wear, nor combat style casual, but something smart, comfortable alternative to wearing jeans all the time. Can't seem to find anything in the shops nor online that inspires me. Any ideas?

I quite like the trousers on this site.

Never bought from them but for the price I bet the quality is good.

I'm humming and haaing about the corduroy jeans atm

gap have some lovely widelegged trousers at the moment
linking to US site but you get the picture
good length for short people as well

ComeOVeneer · 19/04/2008 18:47

I like those wide leg ones, but white is a disaster waitning to happen with ds around. May look over in America when I am there in a few weeks though.

Not too keen on those lapin (I think it is the vile pink top they have put them with that is putting me off, plus the models toes!)

the gap uk wide legs come in beige, navy, black i think.
£35
seriously if i didn't have to pay my indemnity this month I'd buy one in every colour
they machine wash and you can get away with not ironing them
H+M are usually good as well

COV i have the gap ones in mink and black and am wearing them a lot and will do more so when weather heats up. they are very nice, however, they do need a heel unless you are tall...i'm not and wear them to work with a heel.

ComeOVeneer · 19/04/2008 22:30

I'm 5ft 6 so reasonably tall. Mind you I wear alot of heels, more so in the winter, I tend to wear ballet type pumps in the summer. I think I will hold out until next month and check out gap in Chicago first then try over here if no luck.

ComeOVeneer · 19/04/2008 22:37
