Inexpensive high end appearance stud earrings

Hi All,

I'd love some expensive looking stud earrings but as I always manage to lose them, looking for a less expensive price tag.

Any ideas of where to shop or styles which look high end without the price tag?

Many thanks

Sarah

Do you have a budget in mind? Are you wanting a metal stud like gold, silver or with a stone? If going for a diamond look, make sure they are a realistic size. If they are gigantic- they immediately look fake. Swarovski?

Have you has a look on Etsy? I’ve had some lovely gold plated earrings off there that were really inexpensive but look the real deal.

Wouldn't want to spend any more than £40 because as I say I am prone to losing earrings, unless there is a foolproof way to keep them on?! Gold suits me best due to warm skin tone but I can still wear silver. I like run over settings but it's a bit boring probably. No idea what's fashionable currently. Only allowed to wear studs for work.

Have you tried hoop earrings? I find they stay in much better.

Definitely some nice ones on there. What really says luxe in a stud earring? Pearl? Diamond? Want to look classy not trashy! Started a new job and everyone looks so polished. Need to work on a whole new work wardrobe too!

I like run over settings

Can you explain what these are? I've never heard the term and google isn't providing any clues, other than skin growing over your earrings! 🤔

Only allowed to wear studs for work and I do tend to find my child will pull at hoops and hurt my ears. Otherwise I would!

Try "rub over"

I'd go to a piercer and get some flatback earrings as these don't fall out.

There are nice tops available too- gold/rose gold etc and some lovely designs.

They're not as easy to change,.but they won't fall out and get lost!!

Swarovski Angelic studs are very nice and sparkly, not exactly rub over set, more channel. Less than £50 on Amazon. Silver or gold colours.

Or, Radley do some nice sterling silver studs, simple setting but pretty.

QVC have some nice studs and I think it's decent quality. I have a pair and they're still holding up after years

I was always losing my stud earrings until I treated myself to a very expensive pair of diamond studs. I never ever ever take them out. I was mostly losing cheap ones when I took them out, rather than them falling out of my ears.

The quality diamonds have good strong backs too with tight-fitting butterflies.

I bought them as a 40th birthday to myself and have just turned 51. They have been in a million swimming pools and worn while cycling, skiing and running, and never budged.

These 😊 Hypo-allergenic, screw backs, subtle but interesting, £10 for 5 pairs.

I like the Orelia Luxe range, it's a certain type of plating that is waterproof and I've had a few pieces and the gold has not worn off at all

I've literally never heard of flat back earring until you said! Do they work on standard pierced ears?

Amazon! I always lose earrings and got some Huggie hoops that don’t actually have a space to get pulled. I’ve not lost them yet but won’t be distraught when I do as they were very cheap.
