Why are the ends of my hair so frizzy?!

Last hair cut was about 6 weeks ago, had a few inches worth of completely frazzled dead ends chopped off and my hair felt amazing. My ends are now what you see in the picture, fuzzy, frizzy and dry.

For over a year I've been following the Blowout professors hair routine. I stick to washing twice a week with Redken volume injection shampoo and conditioner. Use leave in conditioner and heat protectant, dry with my air wrap. Very rarely straighten it because the airwrap gets it straight.

Sleep with a silk bonnet and hair dyed up with a silk scrunchie. Phillip Kingsley elasticizer deep conditioner treatment usually once every 2 weeks.

I am trying to grow my hair long again, but it seems like since I started this my hair is in awful condition on the ends (the rest of it feels lovely and smooth). Every time I get a hair cut within a couple of weeks I can see the ends start to frizz again so I'm not getting any decent growth as I have to chop the frizzy ends off because they look awful. I use oil on the ends and it makes no difference.

Have been taking biotin with no difference whatsoever. I've switched shampoos and it's still the same. I'm starting to think it's the Dyson but why does everyone else who uses it seem to have beautiful hair and my hair ends up looking like straw?!

I'd be tempted to try a different shampoo(conditioner routine, go for something gentler, maybe go shampoo free. You could be suffering from flash drying, can you stop using a heat source to dry it? I'd strip your routine right back to a minimum and work up again from there. I like MooGoo as a really gentle haircare.

It might be product buildup. If you fill a big bowl with warm water and add a glug of cider vinegar then dunk the ends of your hair in and swish them around it might help. Shampoo and condition afterwards. I did this yesterday and I reckon it made a noticeable difference. If nothing else it’s a cheap and quick thing to try!
