Repairing hair at work if it’s gone frizzy in damp weather

I have a straight shoulder length bob, I style this with the Revlon One Step, I like a smooth shape with a touch of volume.

I use an anti-frizz blow dry cream (Lee Stafford) but even a hint of damp in the air and my hair is ruined, it goes lank and frizzy and looks dreadful. If I’m at home it’s simple to fix with the One Step but obviously I can’t use anything noisy at work! I have mini straighteners in my desk, and whilst they straighten (obvs!) I can’t get any shape or volume back into my hair.

So I’m wondering if full size straighteners would do you job, or should I think about a hot brush, which would hopefully smooth, add a bit of volume and curl the ends under slightly? Any suggestions have to be silent, I can’t use a blowing device at my desk!

I bought a Tymo cordless hotbrush/hair straightener, which is pretty good. It has three heat settings and recharges via a USB. My hair is shoulder-length and one charge lasts me two-three full head restyles on the medium heat setting. They usually have a discount code on their Facebook ads.

Was gonna say Tymo too

I got a Tymo and it does bugger all!

You do your hair at your desk?

Chewbecca · 08/09/2024 21:48

Er, I wouldn't bother!

I use a Babyliss big hair rotating brush at home as I have hair that soaks up any moisture and turns into a frizz ball!

The only way my hair copes in damp weather is style it and let is settle for 15 minutes or so before leaving the house. But I then pull it back in a loose ponytail before I walk out the door and then quickly let it down as I arrive. It is the only way to avoid a frizzy, triangular bob.

I share an office with another girl who also does her hair at her desk!

That’s really interesting, so a pony tail protects against frizz?
