Just had nasty shock under bright lights at hairdresser - neck is going papery. What works?
Don't say polo necks...

Dr Hauschka Rose Day Cream...honestly very good, my neck is a good deal smoother than people 10 yrs younger (I promise I'm not exaggerating)

policywonk · 18/04/2008 16:39

I have this. However I don't believe there's a cream in the world that will make a blind bit of difference. (But I'll watch the thread in case I'm wrong. )

MaryAnnSingleton · 18/04/2008 16:41

I have to say that I've been massaging cream into my neck since teenage - don't know why,sdo maybe it's helped...I do think that policywoki is right, time and gravity inevitably take their toll, but I'm nearly 50 and neck does look pretty good to me

Buy false necks. They're made of latex, and you can hook them around your ears.

Katisha · 18/04/2008 17:42

Do you think cod would blag me some of these to test for her? Or is it a minority subject sigh...

OP posts:
Katisha · 18/04/2008 17:43

And I'm not talking about the false necks, although they do seem the best option...

I have this too
I avoid bright lights!

CatIsSleepy · 19/04/2008 15:44

and I think I agree with policy...there's only so much cream can do!
desi, where can I get one of those false necks?

Desiderata · 19/04/2008 23:15

I'm working on it, Cat

Jeez, if you can have false eyelashes, I don't see why a gal can't have a false neck!

Vaseline intensive care hand and nail lotion is v good, actually (and cheap)

FrannyandZooey · 20/04/2008 14:19

my cleavage is going, I keep noticing it this week and thinking 'ugh who put my mother's chest down there'
and I haven't even GOT much cleavage
it seems rather unfair

MotherofUBERboys · 20/04/2008 14:22

i had a facial years ago. in australia. (they know a thing or two about skin aging down there) and the woman told me always to use same moisturiser as on face and to always include your decolletage in your beauty routine.
so cream your neck whenever you cream your face basically.

not that i do always. but thought id pass on the wisdom.

maidamess · 20/04/2008 14:24

Burts Bees Banana Hand cream.. its rich and lovely and you smell like a banana afterwards...perfect! I use it on my crepey under eyes too.

JackieNo · 20/04/2008 14:24

I've been using the Waitrose baby bottom butter on my neck and cleavage - it was too rich for my face, but it works well on the rest of me, and is cheap too.

MotherofUBERboys · 20/04/2008 14:27

thats an idea JN.
