Stubborn Dry Knees!

Since having my DD 2.5 years ago, the skin on my knees has been very rough and dry. I've put this down to always being on the floor when playing with DD, changing her nappy or sitting on my knees doing a jigsaw at night on the wooden floor (more space for the puzzle roll mat, less glare from the kitchen table light lol)

I exfoliate daily in the shower with those sisal soap bags and use a good exfoliating scrub and gloves 2-3 times a week when shaving my legs. The skin on the rest of my body is literally baby soft as I moisturise with Palmers Cocoa Butter daily too, however, my knees are just so stubborn!

I'm going on holiday in 3 weeks and I always put a layer of the Dove summer glow on my legs as I can't tan (no matter how many 'tan boosting' products etc I use, I just can't get a nice colour). But I did a trial with the summer glow to see how dark it is on me etc and obviously my knees looked horrible, and it just emphasised the dryness. The rest of my legs had a lovely sun kissed glow!

So my question is - what can I use on my knees that will banish this horrible dry skin? It's not eczema or any other skin condition as I had it checked out when I was at a GP appointment for something else recently (GP said to just moisturise regularly...)

I have tried Vaseline at nights and the really thick, almost solid tub of the Palmers on it too, but nothing helps! I even gently used a pumice stone on it once in the bath.... never doing that again!

So please, spam me with suggestions etc! I'm not asking for a miracle to eradicate the dry skin in a short period of time, but something that will definitely help in the long term!

I would treat them like you would dry skin on your feet and get a foot cream with Urea as your main ingredient. If you have a beauty savers near you they had some tubes in for £1 the other day.

I put the cream on my feet every few days and I always just put a little bit on my knees and elbows when I finish

Have you tried CCS foot cream it's brilliant for hard skin on your feet so pretty sure it would be good for knees.
