Following because I struggle with boots every year.

OffMyDahlias · 24/08/2024 21:48

I usually wear my Dr Martins (1460) with everything and switch up with my chunky heeled Timberland boots. I’ve realised they’re both black so I’ve just ordered a pair of brown knee high Chelsea boots.

IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle · 24/08/2024 21:50

Flat green over the knee suede boots from Jigsaw which are around 9 years old.

Flat black suede Stuart Weizmann over the knee boots and flat black Ted and Muffy leather boots bought about 6 or 7 years ago.

Flat black lace up ankle boots from Lanx and flat chestnut lace up ankle boots from Joseph Cheaney going into their 3rd winter. Flat black lace up Joseph Cheney going into their second winter. Navy and tan leather and Harris tweed boots from Islander bought 5 years ago.

I won't be buying new boots.

Oh and 2 ancient pairs of low heeled Victorian button style boots , in red and black bought about 15 years ago.

I'm eyeing up a pair of duo boots in burgundy leather but at the moment £300 is a bit OTT. I do have a pair of lace up boots but cannot remember where I packed them.

I bought some 70s style tan knee high boots with a decent heel last year for an incredible bargain price from Clarks online. They are stunning, and they zip up over my outsize calves.

I love them but they aren't everyday wear. I wear them with dresses on special occasions.

It’s my birthday next month, I’m asking for a pair of Solovair boots to see me through autumn/winter (and hopefully winters beyond!)

Makelikeatreeandleaf · 25/08/2024 11:15

I want long boots, but, to me, they tend to look a bit like leather wellies, so I cannot find the right ones. I also want Chelsea boots but cankles and fat feet mean I find it impossible to get them on. So, that's what I would buy if I could.

JustJazzy · 25/08/2024 12:13

I've ordered these cowboy boots for a/w.

I have solovair derby, dr martens(various styles) and grenson nanette boots from previous years so I think I'm sorted for boots. Although I might buy a nice high heel dressy boot for going out over the xmas/new year but nothing too expensive as I'm not a big heel person.

last year for very casual I was mostly wearing chunky Barbour Chelsea boots in black and similarly chunky lace up Grensen’s also in black. This year I’d like something a bit more refined and suspect I’ll also get some use out of my flat beige suede fairfax and favor Regina’s.

I have some leopard print pony skin heeled ankle boots and some gorgeous LK Bennett square toe boots for more formal wear. The former of which have been constants in my wardrobe for years and the latter are a more recent purchases that I’m looking forward to wearing.

henlake7 · 25/08/2024 13:37

I have no idea what to wear.😟Pretty much the only shoes I wear that dont make my joints hurt are totally flat (like barefoot level flat) and they dont really make winter boots like that.

chalkyc2 · 25/08/2024 13:49

I quite fancy a pair of blundestones this year, and some patent doc martens. I have about 3 pairs of grensons to keep me going. Might need some smarter work boots.

SpanielPaws · 25/08/2024 13:54

I've got a smart pair of knee high suede boots from Sargasso and Grey that I wear to work; Barbour chunky flats for wearing with jeans; and a couple of pairs of Hotter chelsea boots that are for absolute comfort for long walks/long journeys. I really really don't need any more boots but I'm eyeing up some Blundstones...

WhenWillWanksWildly · 25/08/2024 13:56

I’ve revamped my ankle boot wardrobe via eBay so looking forward to wearing Sezane style ochre suede with a block heel, same in chocolate mock croc and low heeled boots in caramel/black snakeskin.

Bettyboughtabitofbitterbutter · 25/08/2024 14:12

Black biker boots, they're timeless really.

Cantonet · 25/08/2024 14:15

None. I will be wearing last years & my 2 pairs of leopard boots from a few years ago. Plus my knee length beige suede I purchased last year & only wore twice.

Oneearringlost · 25/08/2024 14:28

Hmm, link didn't work, sorry.

DeccaM · 25/08/2024 14:47

I have a pair of dark brown lace up ankle boots that I've had for a couple of years. I love them and hope they will see me through this autumn and winter (and hopefully for years to come). I also have some Chelsea boots but they're looking a bit worse for wear these days. Knee-high boots aren't my style so I'll take a pass on those even if they are in fashion. They look lovely on other people though.

KurtCobainLover · 25/08/2024 16:11

I’ll be wearing black cowboy boots with jeans / trousers and knee high dr martens with dresses (my style is grunge).

EllaPaella · 25/08/2024 16:38

Not buying any but I'll be alternating between my Steve Madden Olly boots and my Birkenstock nubuck Chelsea boots.

ColourByNumbers88 · 25/08/2024 16:44

I'll be polishing my Blundstones which are about 3 and 6 years old. Love them and sadly expect to have them out very soon!

xxSideshowAuntSallyxx · 25/08/2024 17:14

Knee length black Timberland (arse to do all those laces up) and flat dark brown suede biker boots, that go slouchy after initially putting on. I'm quite biker/rock chick in winter(live in biker jackets).

Have you looked at barefoot shoe brands? They're all completely flat with a wide toe box and flexible sole. A/W styles should be out in September and there'll be lots of boots!

toooldforbrat · 26/08/2024 08:55

I got a pair of black cowboy boots last year from Oliver Bonas reduced to £40 and they are the most comfortable pair of boots I own!

I love them - except they are pull on and at the end of the day they are a battle to get off!

Doggymummar · 26/08/2024 09:00

I've got two pairs of leather knee boots that must be twenty years old from marks and Spencers. Brown biker boots I got last year and three pairs of shoe boots I used to wear for work before WFH. And some black biker boots. Had the throw away my decade old Zara sock boots the other day as the heel fell off sadly. I think I'll be ok this winter,
