I have posted before about my dry, over coloured, icky hair.

Have beel inspecting it this morning and I think that the natural bit is probably long enough for me to have the rest all cut off.

Haven't been to a hairdressers in years. Dp normally just hacks the lot off with the kitchen scissors (which doesn't really matter because I tend to just have it tied up anyway)

The bit of my hair that is not coloured is really, really dark brown (almost black) with grey streaks, with more grey at my left temple than anywhere else, and there is about three, four inches of it.

I have quite a round face that's not what you would call clasically pretty, with large sticky out ears which would need camouflaging.

I am quite large bodied as well (size 18ish)

Ideally I would like something that is easy to look after, stylish and fashionable.

Oh, I'm pushing 40 as well, so nothing too young-like.

I don't paint a very nice picture of myself, do I. I'm not that bad, honest

Oh, and how much do hairdressers cost nowadays?

you have fab hair, egg. If I had hair like yours I would be sooooo happy (although I'd probably be fed up of it after 30 odd years...)

zippi - I just had a look at your profile. Your hair looks great.

Not surprised you decided to stay as you are

Not been frightened off - just had to play at being a mum for a little while - boring eh ? )...

I love that bob one from Fred... gorgeous and much more low maintenance than layers (which can look good if done properly but risk looking slightly Rod Stewart or mullett like).

I'm thinking I may go for this one

If I manage to save the money to visit the hairdresser, that is

Will it be tricky to maintain it with all the flicky bits?

My hair is only fab when I get around to washing it. And even then it sometimes looks cack two hours later. Today I look tres rough.

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 17/04/2008 14:49

I bet I beat you in the looking rough stakes - have a cold. I feel like poo. I can't rouse myself off the settee. ds is pretending to be a doctor (aww, he's looking after me, tis very sweet)

dp probably going to bring chippy tea home so I don't need to get off settee later either.

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 17/04/2008 15:00

How could he say no? You are SICK. You need TLC (and new hair).

Dropdeadfred · 17/04/2008 15:10

He CANNOT say NO....tell him you need to FEED a cold and starve a fever..(make sure you never get a fever!!)

BTW I have lost 10 and a half pounds!!!

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 17/04/2008 15:12
