Dress/smart casual clothing for funeral

I have a funeral to attend soon. Looks as though dress code may be smart casual as there will be a mix of ages present.
Looking for something a very short (4ft 11) dumpy size 14 middle aged woman can wear to this but then possibly wear again.
Just past knee length would be ideal and scoop neck with sleeves preferable but not essential.
Doesn't have to be black but dark coloured would be good.
Budget £50 tops.
Any suggestions please?

Black ankle boots or black loafers. Black tights.

Plain black boots - knee high or ankle would be fine. Otherwise you probably will need to buy something.

Do you have a footwear budget?

That dress is lovely OP. 👌
Sounds like your winter boots with black tights are going to be the best footwear option. What are they like? Post a pic?

Found some flat ballet pump type shoes and a dark grey cardigan (long) that pulls it together.
If I don't like the shoes on the day I will probably wear the boots. They're quite a 'biker's style .

@RiftGibbon I think someone wearing biker boots in August or early Sept to a funeral looks like they haven’t bothered much. You now have the dress so why not get some shoes that elevate your height a bit? Is the dress black? You are allowed to add some colour, so I would take a scarf. The attached shoes are M&S and two tone are White Stuff at M&S.

The shoes I found are quite like the ones you've posted, the left picture, but without the strap.
I've also just gone through my scarves/wraps and have a backup.
Think I'll just have to see what the weather is doing on the day.

That type of shoe would be fine! Takes you anywhere. I think a wrap is useful if it’s a bit chilly in the service venue. If it’s casual, you will find people wear all sorts. I think looking neat and together works for most people. I wore navy trousers and a navy/camel top to DMs funeral. DH in navy suit. He wore a tie for the service but not at the life celebration afterwards. I always find wearing a coat easier in winter.
