Filler dissolved

Hi everyone,

I have a small amount of filler in my nose which I want dissolved.

The price I have been quoted for this is £790!!! For the hylaurondaise and then £340 for the consultation! This is in London, but seems outrageous to me.

So that's £1130 for a small amount of filler to be dissolved. Has anyone had this done? Surely that's too expensive?

Can anyone recommend anyone good in London who is cheaper?

Hopeful bump 😁

I don't have any recommendations for people who dissolve in London. It might be that people are reluctant to do it so the price is high. You shouldn't really be using it except in emergency situations. It can go horribly wrong.

I'd recommend visiting the hyaluronidase damage Facebook group for advice first.

@lunchagain - what do you mean horribly wrong?! I don't actually have Facebook anymore!

@lunchagain - I do feel that the filler has irritated my nose a bit. So that's why I wanted it out! It would be a dermatologist doing to procedure

Can't you just wait for it to dissolve on its own?

LaBrasseria2024 · 12/08/2024 23:58

@DenimSnails - apparently that doesn't actually happen though. Filler lasts a lot longer than what people thought it did.

@LaBrasseria2024 it does last longer in your nose because it doesn't move like your lips/eyebrows/cheeks etc, but it does go eventually.

If it's irritating you it does sound like something's gone a bit wrong. Can you go back to who did it and ask?

LaBrasseria2024 · 13/08/2024 00:06

@DenimSnails - I did go back to who did it and she was horrible to me! Told me there was no issue. And that if I get it dissolved, then more bruising, swelling, irritation can occur as it's still a needle going into my nose.

So found a dermatologist to do it but the cost just seems astronomical 😯

I would do this. I think when people are talking about filler remaining long term it's trace amounts?

DenimSnails · 13/08/2024 00:13

@LaBrasseria2024 was it someone medically qualified? Poor customer service to be horrible to you like that.

lunchagain · 13/08/2024 00:18

How long ago did you have the filler?

It also dissolves some of your own hyaluronidase, so there's recovery from that to consider. There's too many possibilities to list, but posts here have mentioned doctors refusing to use it because of potential damage and lawsuits.

I don't know how it would work on the nose, so you'd be better asking for advice somewhere like the group I mentioned. There may be a reddit group.

LaBrasseria2024 · 13/08/2024 21:33

@DenimSnails - thanks for your reply! Yes a dermatology nurse, at a very reputable dermatology clinic I go to. That's what makes it worse. I had never seen fhis particular person before though, always been happy with the treatments there before then

@lunchagain - thanks for your reply. It was around 7 months ago I had the filler. I did actually have a look at the Reddit groups and reviews are mixed. Some people said they suffered no side effects from dissolving their filler. The dermatologist did say there is some risk of damage to cartilage and he can't guarantee against that
