Nearly 40. Not too shabby but generally tired/haggard/worn out looking. I need a refresh and reboot. I get Botox for my 11s but my general complexion and disposition are not at their best. I really crave a fabulous facial with a scrub, warming concoction, rich moisturiser and lots of plump glowiness. Short of sacrificing a virgin, what products would you all recommend? I'm not on a Creme de Mer budget.

A balm cleanser (Clinique Take the Day off), a glycolic acid toner (REN Ready Steady Glow/Alpha H liquid gold), a vitamin C serum (Sunday Riley) and a night cream (M&S Formula Sleep Cream is excellent).

Sighing is not the best way to bump your thread to get helpful responses, btw.

No scrubbing! It's all about chemical exfoliants these days - acids, with tretinoin the gold standard and talked about endlessly on here.

Have a look at some Korean beauty sheet masks. They have honey ones if you’re looking for warming: propolis, centella, snail mucin or hyalauronic acid for moisturising.

I’m From makes a rice mask 30 g for $13 AUD for an exfoliating scrub.

For a rich moisturiser Cosrx make a Hyalauronic Acid Intensive cream. It’s rich but absorbs really well.
The prices are really cheap but the quality is excellent and it’s really quite fun to trawl through, once you get over how many choices there are.

Admittedly, it does say my disposition is not its best either.

Absolutely loving my Dermatica products. I've taken good care of my skin since my teens (now 40s) but have still seen a dramatic difference since I started using their tretinoin. My skin has that glow to it and I've received compliments, so happy with it.

Here's my link if you want to try it. I think it's just £2.90 for your first month and then £10 off your second. Cancel anytime (And no I don't work for them!)

What about 'retimax?' that's on Amazon UK?

Absolute bargain products but I've loved everything I've tried from Give Me Cosmetics. I can genuinely see results. The hyaluronic cleanser and serum are amazing but I just buy the complete skin set and it's fantastic.
I'd probably add tretinoin which I've had from Dermatica previously.
