Good morning everyone.

For people who just sunbeds do you put your face in or not and if not what do you do for your face to match do you use foundation or self tan drops? If so which ones xxx

Depends how much you want skin cancer. If you’re really committed to the cause, stick your face in too.

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 09/08/2024 06:43

Surely nobody uses sunbeds any more?!

Luddite26 · 09/08/2024 06:47

What are you planning on doing with your face?

Clearly don't want it at all if I'm asking for recommendations for drops or makeup

Sunbeds seem to be making a comeback sadly.

I wouldn't do it.

Even one sunbed session can increase your risk of developing squamous cell skin cancer by 67% and basal cell skin cancer by 29%. Even more importantly is the increased risk of melanoma, the most serious form of skin cancer. If you have ever used a sunbed your risk of melanoma increases by 20%.

But if I was trying to match my face to my body, I would use fake tan not foundation

But you are planning to tan the rest of you?

Didn't you ask for advice on using sunbeds? 🤔

You’re clearly willing to get skin cancer in exchange for a temporary tan, otherwise you wouldn’t be asking about sun bed use.

Garnier Summer Body Gradual Tan Moisturiser hunni xxx

DominiqueBernard · 09/08/2024 16:16

Fake tan.

Factor 50, reapply every 2 hours and after being in water or sweating profusely (e.g. sport), big hat, stay in the shade. Dermatologist appointment after sun holidays / exposure and the summer.

As a previous poster said, sunbeds cause skin cancer.

Hotpinkangel19 · 09/08/2024 16:17

Surely no one is that brain dead as to use sunbeds any more!

AuntieMarys · 09/08/2024 16:19

Just why would you?

Waitingfordoggo · 09/08/2024 16:20

I can’t believe sunbeds are still legal. Australia banned them 11 years ago- we’re so behind the curve 😔

Having witnessed it up close, can confirm that melanoma is a really awful way to die.

You'd be surprised, I've seen people post photos of themselves going for a sunbed session on Facebook. Then posting about how brown and tanned they are.

I'm never that desperate for a tan that I'd risk it.

longdistanceclaraclara · 09/08/2024 18:16

I'm amazed that a new place has opened in my town and it seems to be very busy.

I used to have 9 minute sessions a few times a week, we had a sunbed in our flat at uni as well. Ridiculous. Used to tan with baby oil as well.

You can tell by the state of my neck, goodness knows what other damage I've caused.
