Push Up Bras for the Middle Aged

Gah. Tits just fully deflating now. They are at least three inches below where I think they are supposed to be.

Being 32FF it has never occurred to me that I might need a push up bra - but I think the time has come. Any recommendations? Thanks.

This is such a MN cliche thing to say but get properly fitted, you won’t need a push up to keep them up just the proper sizing.

Push up bras can also be a bit dated worn under everyday clothes as a matter of course - reminiscent of the 90s pudding bra era

Fantasie bras, they give 'projection' because they have side support. Once you know your size you can get loads on ebay.

A non push up bra that's properly supportive should keep them up if it's the right size. Boob or bust measurements.

I suspect I’m not the only relic from the 90s who prefers to look “dated” than saggy and shapeless, which is unfortunately where nice non-wired bralettes tend to leave you. I don’t mind if it bothers the aesthetic sensibilities of a few gen Zs, they can always not look at my tits.

Goasard do uplift in lots of colours

Gossard

I’m definitely in the right size bras but the top third of the cup is empty where the breast has deflated. This gives the impression of a lot of Chest before getting down to Breast. I want my breast to start sooner basically.

very happy to look dated - in the 90s my boobs started higher

Start by looking at this in front of a mirror https://www.fantasie.com/uk/en/advice/bra-styles-for-your-shape/

Make a note of the recommended styles for what you think is your boob type and the net 2 nearest to it. Then go to your nearest stockist and try them all on and see what gives you the best line.

I have this problem and am short waisted which makes it worse. I was desperate for a bra to hoick the boobs up to wear a special dress for my son’s wedding. I got the Niya bra from Bravissimo in my size which was good but not ideal. I asked in John Lewis about push up bras but it seems to be that they don’t do them and just recommend a proper fitting. However, the assistant said why didn’t I buy a smaller size just for the occasion. I bought the same bra in a smaller size and it definitely helped! Not an every day solution I know!

36F and 40s (in years!) here. I second the Fantasie range with side support sling bit. I’m not sure it would be regarded as push up but it’s the right fit for me.

Prima Donna bras are the only ones robust enough for my 34Gs! I've tried Fantasie, Panache, Pour Moi, Freya - they're pretty but feel flimsy and quickly become uncomfortable, so I just keep them for hot summer wear.

Prima Donna are madly expensive but take no nonsense from the girls, they're comfortable (I don't notice I'm wearing them) and last forever. You probably need a full-cup style like Deauville OP. Get measured in Rigby & Peller, they're the best at measuring by far. I usually buy one bra from R&P - it's only fair seeing as they've measured me and I've tried on a few - and buy any others slightly cheaper online.
