What style jeans are you currently wearing/liking?

I haven’t worn jeans in a while but I am in the process of smartening up my wardrobe and moving away from my beloved black as I wear the colour far too much (hence username!).

However, there are so many different styles around these days I’m not sure what’s nice and flattering for my age and body shape?

I’m 51 and like to wear fairly current clothing without looking like I’m trying to dress like my teen dd. I see extra baggy jeans are in but that’s a no fit me. I’m 5ft 5, a size 10 with slim arms and legs and starting to get a bit of a peri belly!

For autumn I like the idea of wearing more smart tees/shirts with a blazer, flats or trainers and a nice flattering pair of jeans.

Oh and high waisted to suck the peri belly in!

I live in my relaxed skinny (apparently, but they aren't at all skinny) from Matalan. So comfy!

Hoping Sainsbury wide legged jeans are good....just bought a brand new lilac pair off Vinted. I'm thinking with trainers and a fitted tee.

I don't think you have to worry about what boots to wear with in bad weather though....you just don't wear them if it rains!
