Professional business attire recommendations?

I'm looking for higher end professional business attire, tailored blazers, trousers, decent coat for work.

Where do women buy from? For men you have Saville Row, but I'm looking for something a bit better than Reiss.

Any suggestions welcome!

A few off the top of my head:

MaxMara

Toteme

The Fold (if you like things ladylike)

Co Collections

Jil Sander

Margaret Howell (if you don’t need to look corporate)

But really you should have a look through all the brands on somewhere like Net-a-Porter to see which ones appeal to you - then pursue your interest on those designers’ own websites or physical stores.

Some women do have their suits custom made, in the environs of Savile Row or elsewhere - that’s a lovely option if you can afford it.

Thank you @AndYesTheWeeDonkeys, very helpful advice and information.I hadn't considered Net-a-porter but will have a browse for inspiration.

Unfortunately my budget wont stretch to custom made, but these options you've shared look like a great starting point.

Thank you so much.

OP don't forget you can always buy things off-the-peg and then have them altered to suit you better - obviously nothing major but taking up sleeves/trousers, taking in waists etc is pretty straightforward. It's a good way to have things looking more tailored without going the full custom route.

I don’t think you need be sad about not being able to stretch to custom made stuff.Grin For myself I love the adventure of seeing what talented designers create from one year to the next, so being restricted to a couple of handmade suits would have felt a bit suffocating.

Net-a-Porter, Browns, Ssense and a few other multi-brand online stores are all worth regular browsing. Don’t be put off if the first page is front loaded with Gucci and Bottega Veneta - they all stock plenty of brands that are a little more affordable.

And @DaveWatts gives excellent advice. It’s astonishing how many people reject clothes that would work perfectly for them, purely because they haven’t considered minor alterations like getting a dress shortened at the waist or hem.
