Milia, can I get rid of it/them

I have a few milia on my face. I understand it’s from over moisturising?

Can they be removed by a beautician? If not how do I have them removed please?
Also how can I prevent more occurring?

A dermatologist would remove them, I have done it myself in the past (craft knife & tweezers) and it does hurt! I’m not sure beauticians do it tbh, you would have to phone around.
A glycolic toner is supposed to help, maybe it does as I’ve only ever had a couple.

I just did a tiny poke with the blade then used the tweezers to press it out, and just hoped I didn’t get an infection- I didn’t, it was fine.

I find distilled witch Hazel helps. I swipe it over the milia for a few days, a tiny black dot then appers and I can usually pop them out at that point.

I simply get a pin (sterilised) push it gently underneath and the whole thing pops out very easily. I’ve only ever had a couple though so this might not be practical if you have loads.

I always have a few - the things that keep them under control are retinol and/or glycolic acid. A dermatologist or a beautician at a medi-spa type place will remove them but a regular beautician may not.

The beautician who dyed my eyebrows removed mine ... ring round.

I've been using this and it works well.

I went to a beautician and had them removed but they did a terrible job and left me with small scars and discolouration.
Now I just hook them out with a sewing needle and no scarring. It's easy ones you've done it a few times. The key is not to go too deep, just hook around it. If it bleeds you've probably gone too deep.

Do NOT attempt this yourself. I always had a few and dug them out myself, which was fine. Then a few years ago I got one on my cheekbone area, did my usual prick it and dig it out and now I have a big brown splotch left which never seems to fade.

I buy hyperdermic needles from Amazon. Stick it in the top and squeeze it out. Done loads with no issues.
