Big boobs - where do you get your bras from?

I can’t go to a city to get measured properly. I buy those slightly padded T-shirt type bras from M&S, but I’ve ended up with a band of saggy boob rather than two breasts. I feel like I need a Cross Your Heart bra to lift and separate! So where do I go?

Brastop have all the sizes, and great sales.

Boob or Bust Facebook group has lots of advice on measuring at home.

Lesleyknopeswaffleiron · 19/07/2024 07:16

Elomi have lovely bras that fit well and lift.

Bravissimo and Empriente if I’m feeling flush. I need high sides and a side support and these are often good.

Bravissimo
Or once you know your size honestly Asda bras are very good for the price if budget is an issue.
Do measure yourself properly though M&S are terrible at bra fitting. If your boobs are sagging and "monoboobed" you're probably in too big a band and too small cups.

Bravissimo do virtual fittings or try this site.....

Pour Moi

Their bras and swim wear are just amazing.

wizzler · 19/07/2024 07:25

Panache.. but I go to one of those small independent shops to get measured and fitted

Butterflyfern · 19/07/2024 07:25

Bravissimo. They're expensive, but make me look so much better that I can't go back!

TheGriffle · 19/07/2024 07:25

I second Brastop.

Freya
Fantasie

Freya and Fantasie are my go to brands as well. They really suit my shape.

StarlightLady · 19/07/2024 07:53

36F here. I usually opt for John Lewis and Bravissimo. Usually Freya, Fantasie and Panache are my go to brands. The latter come in some interesting colours. Great for me as l don’t wear beige or white; they remind me of school!

JoJothegerbil · 19/07/2024 07:56

I'm 36H and use Brastop mainly. I also have a favourite Elomi bra which I search for on eBay and buy last years colours, new, from sellers on there.

Ooo yes Panache too!

I think you maybe need to get measured or get a bunch with an easy return policy. I’ve been wearing one size fits many for ages and had a lovely mono boob. I ended up going to marks and not getting measured but trying on what I thought was my size and then tweaking band/ cup till I was happy. Ended up in a 34G!

Bravissimo, I if I feel my size has changed I will order a selection in a number of different sizes try them on at home and send back what doesn't fit. And not look at the cost on my credit card until I've just bought the one I want 🙃.

M&S are useless for big sizes they don't do small back sizes with big capsizes and the materials their bras are made off are not supportive enough. If you are small chested like DD they are fine but no good for someone like me.

MrsMoastyToasty · 19/07/2024 08:11

Bravissimo (I live just outside Bath where there's a branch), John Lewis (there's a big branch in Bristol with a good selection) or at a local independent retailer in the town between the two where I live. I am spoilt for choice.

Andwegoroundagain · 19/07/2024 08:16

M&S never worked for me pre boob reduction. Their bras even if ostensibly the right size never ever had a good fit and their fitters were appalling

John lewis often have really decent larger bras on sale with good discounts I'd second Freya or Chantecaille ... depends on what size you are of course. The other thing you can do is order a few and then return the ones that don't fit.

Bravissimo also good again I'd just buy when on sale

Quitelikeacatslife · 19/07/2024 08:17

Bravissimo for sure, definitely not M&S for measuring, you'll end up with back size too big and cup size too small. Do self measure on bravissimo website if you can't get to a shop. I'd suggest you order one or 2 cup size larger and back size smaller to try on . If you can stump it until you return them, order lots. Once you know size and brand you look good in you can look on line for bargains

NotMeNoNo · 19/07/2024 08:20

Bravissimo for years. When I find a good style I buy multiples (usually Freya/Fantasie), cheaper online if I can find them. I've tried on bras in M&S but never found a decent one.
Everyone is different though so you just have to try a load on. I have a short waist and narrow shoulders so that influences the choice.

I would try and get to a decent independent lingerie shop or have a decent discussion and online fitting with Bravissimo. Also look at the brands they stock (own label aside) so you know what to look for. They mention a few bras in the blurb as being most popular, they could be a good place to start.

LividLost · 19/07/2024 08:32

Mine are bigger in the cup than all the sizes mentioned here and I won't ever wear wires again after finding Molke.

Might not look super sexy and can be a wrestle to get on at first, but honestly the comfort and lift is unparalleled for the heavy of boob.

NewDogOwner · 19/07/2024 08:39

The reviews on Bravissimo are really helpful. Women give really useful info about the fit and how bras fit on different breast shapes. They also tell you which other popular bras a particular bra has a similar shape to or fit to.

KnittedCardi · 19/07/2024 08:47

Agree with all pps. I am 32H. The one thing I would note from your post though, is that you are wearing padded. I think that's also a problem, as you are adding bulk. Less is more with big of boob.

JusWunderin · 19/07/2024 08:48

Brastop
I will never go anywhere else now, they stock decent brands (bravissimo, scantily, panache ect) at discounted prices, and it’s so easy to shop by size.. they also stock swimwear, bodysuits and active wear.. I’m a 34H and rave about that site!
