Undereye Filler

Has anyone had undereye filler? If so what has been your experience? My undereye area is darkness more than anything and it seems to be genetic because I've had it since I was a kid (late 30's now). A friend had it done and she ended up having to dissolve it because she said her undereyes ended up looking worse.

Anyone had any experiences either good or bad or find the holy grail that helped dark circles? :)

Yes.

i went to Sabrina Shah Desai she is INORDINATELY qualified (it’s your eyes!) and expensive.

to say I was underwhelmed would be an understatement.
the effects were almost undetectably subtle even to my critical eye bagged obsessed self and within 4 months I could see zero difference.

Filler is not going to help you.

Get a corrector.

I've had under eye filler and the doctor carrying it out said it would possibly make my under eye area darker-it did! I initially liked it the volume effect for a few months however I think the filler has migrated now lower down my face. It's subtle and I don't think anyone would notice it but I don't think I'll do it again.

mrscoffee · 18/07/2024 16:31

My doctor doesn't do under-eye fillers anymore, he said it causes lots of problems . He also doesn't except to correct ant badly done ones. All my friends who had under-eye fillers eventually regretted getting them done. Would you consider surgical removal, it's only 15 min with laser.

Is the darkness under your eyes caused by hollowness? If so, then tear trough filler may be beneficial. If the darkness is just your natural skin tone then polyneutrocides may be your best bet. They hydrate the under eye area and can reduce dark circles. Numbing cream helps massively with the pain. I recommend only seeing a qualified Dr or nurse for this treatment. You can check they're qualified on the gmc website. There are too many unqualified practitioners doing these treatments which can lead to poor results and side effects.

@mrscoffee I'm going to look into doing laser treatment, I've also heard meso therapy may help.

@CoralRaven I think it's my natural skin tone to be honest because I have had the dark circles since I was a child. I think it's a genetic thing because my sister has the same dark circles. I'm going to do some research on what kind of treatments are beneficial

I was advised by my aesthetician to have polynucleotides such as Vitaran or Sunekos in the under eye area, as filler can make bags worse.
