Aldi gradual tan - a warning and help please!

I purchased Aldi gradual tan for £3.99 last week. Every other gradual tan I've used has been subtle and I can be a little slap dash with application. Not this one! I have tide marks at my ankles and top of feet. It is very much like an actual tanning lotion and whilst I love the colour after one application, I'm not keen on the tell-tale signs it is fake.
I used a bit mixed with body lotion this morning to try and blend ankles and feet but it hasn't worked. Any ideas? Or how do I fade the tan so it's less noticeable? I'm wary of putting more on to even it up!

Scrub it with an exfoliating mitt and some soap? That works with the Dove gradual tan.

@hereweareMN Well maybe, but generally their Lacura range of beauty products is pretty well regarded and I've never had issues with other items. But in any case, I would have assumed less effective rather than moreso should quality be a concern.

Next time you use it, when you've finished doing your legs, just rub the excess over your feet. That way they'll match your colour without them ending up dark and patchy. Always do feet and hands last.

Salt and lemon juice works!

Mairzydotes · 18/07/2024 11:52

Baby oil on wet skin and rub with a rough towel

NCfor24 · 18/07/2024 13:20

@Fingerscrossedfor2021HK and @Mairzydotes these are the kind of tips I was hoping for!
Thanks...will have a go later!

I think milk works to remove fake tan

I always used toothpaste to scrub elbows and knees where it went orange, but like someone else I now just rub the excess around the areas that go patchy

I bought this thinking great! Has shimmer in it & very cheap & aldi does sell really good products, however I found it went very very patchy on my legs no matter how much I blended it in. Won't be using it again

I'm relieved it isn't just me then really. My tube is still in the bathroom, but I think I need to bin it.

Yea, I'm throwing mine out too. Have tried it several times with the same results. Shame as it's on offer at 1.99 now.
