It’s bonkers. I own everything from a small to an XXL. You need to try on or order a few sizes. The assistant in there the other day said they were sick of customers moaning at them for it 🙈

The triangle/ circle/ square is nothing to do with sizing, it's the subset of Zara it's from- basic, trafaluc and I think the denim range- it used to say Zara basic/ trf/ 1975 (or something similar). That being said, the trafaluc range is aimed at a teen/ young person range, and does come up smaller than general Zara sizes do.

Thank you @anon2022anon as I said in my post I hadn't checked it out myself. I think I saw it in the DM.

I've always found Zara clothes very small fitting and go up a size or two.

@deeahgwitch it's one of those Instagram/ tiktok things that do the rounds ☺️ like I say, some of the ranges do come up smaller/ bigger, but not consistent to the label shape- more consistent to the range/ country of origin/ factory. Trf stuff will always come up shorter/ smaller, and they often don't bother doing a large/ X Large size, or make fewer of them. It's similar to their pull and bear stores.
Basic is quite consistent in sizing, and true to size (so for a blazer or a t-shirt, they're consistently slightly oversized, so I would size down unless that's the look you want. Trousers are true to size, but made for slim hips as Spain is their main selling country and that model fits there better.
Zara Woman I find to be slightly bigger fitting, as well as being much better quality. This is similar to their Massimo Dutti offerings- definitely the better range, but pricier.

I ordered 3 pairs of shorts in the sale - all the same size. One fit if slightly tight but I was bloated so kept, one so tiny I couldn’t do them up, one so massive I could put my fist in the waistband with me.

I really resent paying for returns when they can’t get the sizing or quality consistent

I'm a 16 and ordered a medium hoody and it fitted GREAT. ORDERED a jumper and it was a bit small. I can wear it but it's a tiny bit short

Kitkat1523 · 14/07/2024 20:52

I’m a size 10….I genrally wear a Zara small…sometimes I need a medium though

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 14/07/2024 21:50

As a size 14, a sakes assistant looked me up and down and said "we don't make clothes big enough for you".

MooonDreamer · 19/07/2024 06:39

Thanks everyone

I ordered a blazer in a medium and it looks huge, wide on the shoulders and long

The website did say the blazer sizes larger than usual but I thought it might be okay so I have now ordered a small

I'm a 12 and bought a denim dress in the sale in medium, it doesn't meet on the middle! But I have a black dress in small which is fine, even roomy. Sizing is bonkers.
