In an effort to look more sophisticated/polished I have ordered one. Do they look ok….im a bit worried I’m going to look like I’m playing at being a grown up or that I ought to be clocking on for a shift as a flight attendant.

how matching colour wise with the outfit should they be?

I would google "how to tie an Hermes scarf" for ideas, that what I did when DH came back from a business trip with a rather lovely scarf for me.
Personally I choose a scarf which coordinates with my outfit and I don't go for tying them in a bow, it's just not me.

Hermes guidance would definitely be a good place to start!

But really it depend on your habitual style. If you generally wear jeans and a cropped t shirt, your scarf might look best as a belt threaded through your jeans belt loops. If you’re a conservative blazer and trousers person, I’d avoid wearing it around your neck at all - it would be better as a headscarf fastened at the back of your head. If you prioritise accessories, you could try wrapping it around the handle of a plain leather bag or straw Summer tote / basket. Etc …

Thanks, I'm more of a dress type person. Was thinking of round my neck, twisted with a knot at the front.

If I'm co-ordinating with outfits this could get expensive. The one I've ordered is quite neutral so will see how I get on.

That would be the most boring possible way to wear a silk scarf …

Why not have a look at all the other options first?
